About Clockwork Wines

Clockwork Wines is a new venture for the Yukich family who also own and operate Oakover Wines in the Swan Valley, Western Australia (where all the Clockwork Wines are made). Fruit is sourced from around Western Australia with the majority coming from Margaret River but also from Geographe, Frankland River and the Swan Valley. "The Yukich family wanted to create a new range of wines, separate from Oakover, that showcased the different winegrowing regions of W.A. and that really packed a punch in terms of value for money" says Rob Marshall, General Manager and Chief Winemaker of Oakover Wines.

And the name? Each vintage Rob just hopes things run like clockwork! Rob is of the passionate view that the key to making great wine (and getting it right in the vineyard and in the winery) is all about getting the timing right and being super organised. To help bring Rob's passion to life, we enlisted the help of creative design agency brainCELLS, the people behind the Little Creatures and Stella Bella brands. Design Director Steve Boros used the cogs and key from a wind up clock to create a mechanical bunch of grapes; a quirky way of representing the natural, mechanical and human interaction involved in grape growing and winemaking.

So there you have it. Simply put: the key to making great wine is in the timing. When man, machine and mother nature work together, things just click into place. Like Clockwork.
